The Pinzguaer breed is also known for its tenderness gene, which is a great asset to grass-finished Highland beef. Their early maturity, climate adaptability, ease of maintenance and calving make them a valuable cross for any breed, especially Highlands. Their frame is larger than a Highland's but they are a very docile breed, excellent mothers with an abundant supply of milk for their calves. The Pinzgauer is a very old, Austrian breed. She has a wide, Pinzgauer rump, naturally thick with a moderate slope from hooks to pins. ![]() She is moderately framed, stocky with a broad level back and straight topline. ![]() She was shown this summer at several county fairs and the MO State Fair therefore, she is halter broke, leads, stands tied, is easy to load/unload and enjoys grooming including bathing and drying.
